HIV/AIDS Policy for The Women’s Hood Project (NPO)
This document contains an outline of The Women’s Hood Project policies and regulations guiding employees and beneficiaries who have medically been diagnosed or are in contact with those impacted by HIV/AIDS.
The Women’s Hood Project is dedicated in providing needed support to women and communities affected by HIV/AIDS. We aim to create a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected regardless of their HIV/AIDS status.
Our commitment:
We are committed in, ensuring that we educate and raise necessary awareness about HIV/AIDS; providing support and care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS which include counselling, referrals, and advocacy; fighting against judgement , stigma and discrimination posed to people living with HIV/AIDS; creating a workplace and community where everyone is respected and protected.
How We Aim to Achieve our Goals?
We will be providing staff training in terms of HIV/AIDS awareness, support, and care. We will ensure that we continually engage with local communities in promoting awareness and understanding HIV/AIDS. We will collaborate with other organizations in enhancing our capacity to address HIV/AIDS.
Whatever Are Our Values?
Non- discrimination: This means that we do not tolerate any form of discrimination especially against individuals living with HIV/AIDS. We will provide care and support with compassion and empathy. We respect individuals rights and dignity.
Who is This For?
This policy is aimed f fir everyone who is involved with The Women’s Hood Project, including staff or employees, volunteers, partners, and community members. Whether, you are working with us or you are benefiting from our programs, this policy is there to support everyone.
Our Task is:
To provide honest, age- appropriate information about HIV/AIDS and how it’s spread and its presentation measures. Provide people with tools they need like condoms and access to testing. Support with love, by providing people living with HIV treatment, care and support they need.
We are here to uplift, protect, and stand with our community, including those living with HIV/AIDS. Together we can create a supportive and inclusive environment for people living with HIV/AIDS.
